The marketing professional will create, develop and execute the marketing plan for all businesses at Vik Uruguay including but not limited to Playa Vik José Ignacio, Bahia Vik José Ignacio, Estancia Vik José Ignacio Club, Posada Wanderlust, Shack Yoga and Wellness, Pavilion Vik (events business) and La Susana Beach Restaurant. 

The marketing manager will report to and work closely with the General Manager of Vik Uruguay as well as the sales manager and all business managers. They will be responsible for achieving marketing objectives and will play a key role in reaching the overall business objectives.

  • Evaluate all businesses and create a marketing strategy to promote and increase sales across all channels worldwide, focusing on key markets.

  • Creation of marketing materials and content for digital marketing, social media, PR, travel agent partners and others.

  • Work closely with VIK’s PR firm to assist in creating press materials and promote Vik Uruguay.

  • Work closely with VIK’s digital marketing/social media agency to build following and sales. 

  • Organize and manage all content including photography and video.

  • Oversee websites for the Vik Uruguay businesses coordinating with VIK’s webmaster.

  • Work with other Vik marketing managers to create a unified brand book for Vik and market synergies between locations.

  • Execute and coordinate all approved marketing strategies, monitor on-going marketing campaign performance and report results.

  • Develop and implement promotional activities and collaterals for all businesses.

  • Execute marketing activities for special events, exhibitions, trade shows and property inspections.

  • Identify and support opportunities with all managers to grow occupancy and business.

  • Implement appropriate use of marketing content, creative resources, translations and photography while optimizing an effective marketing presence across all mediums in line with strategy.

  • Research and attend trade shows as needed.

  • Develop, maintain and grow CRM database.

  • Execute and report competitive analysis as it relates to all businesses.

  • Ensure all businesses have appropriate marketing content including up to date media lists, marketing collateral, photo library, newsletters, brochures, desktop publishing.

  • Manage marketing budget.

  • Prepare marketing PowerPoint presentations with excellent attention to detail.

  • Achieve agreed performance goals and marketing objectives.

  • Execute effective content management across all available channels, including websites, OTAs, social media, digital marketing and partnership programs.

  • College level education or equivalent in work experience.

  • Experience in a similar marketing role

  • Proven experience of supporting, planning and managing project work to tight deadlines.
